There are good walks on the doorstep and the surrounding area. Street has an indoor swimming pool and in the summer months, an open-air pool. There are golf courses at Wheathill, Wells and Long Sutton.

Coarse and trout fishing is available at nearby Somerton. Clay Pigeon shooting can be arranged locally. There is also horse riding nearby.

Strode Theatre in Street shows films and dramatic productions. There are multi-screen cinemas in Yeovil, Wells and Taunton and lots of good local pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
